Philander Smith University Homecoming 5K Walk/Run

The Philander Smith University Homecoming Inaugural 5K Run/Walk takes place on Saturday, November 7, 2026, on the campus of Philander Smith University in Little Rock, Arkansas. The event brings together students, alumni, faculty, staff, and community members to support the institution's mission. Proceeds will fund student scholarships.

The course is designed to pass several of the city's African American historical sites, including Arkansas Baptist College, Little Rock Central High School, and the Dunbar Heritage Association Community. The event includes in-person and virtual participation options as well as a sleep-in option.

Participants who run or walk in person and virtual participants receive a race bib, a race T-shirt, and a finisher medal with ribbon. Sleep-In participants receive a race T-shirt. Registration is offered in phases with differing fees: early registration, regular registration, late registration, and a virtual option with a separate fee and mailing for participant items.
