Philadelphia Trail Marathon
The Philadelphia Trail Marathon takes place on April 11, 2026, in Wissahickon Valley Park in Philadelphia. The park spans over 2,000 acres and features an extensive trail network and historic landscape. The event uses a 13.1 mile loop through steep slopes and schist rock outcroppings; marathon entrants complete the loop twice, for roughly 2,600 feet of total elevation gain.
The course is primarily single-track trail with some gravel sections and includes technical rocky and rooty segments on marked trails. Aid stations are spaced approximately every 3 to 4 miles and will offer water, sports drink, and basic trail food; participants who rely on specific gels or nutrition should carry their own. Bib and race kit pickup occur on race day only; there is no pre-race expo. Timing is manual using the event timing app and bibs should be worn visibly on the front.
Post-race amenities include live music, food, and awards presented at the finish. The event supports educational programs for children at the Houston Playground Recreational Center. Headquarters and the start/finish are located at the Houston Recreational Center, 900 Grakyn Lane, Philadelphia, PA 19128. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
