Philadelphia Marathon Weekend, November 20-22, 2026
Philadelphia Marathon Weekend is a multi-race event held over three days and features courses that pass historic landmarks, urban neighborhoods, Fairmount Park and the Schuylkill River, finishing near the Philadelphia Museum of Art. The weekend regularly draws over 30,000 athletes and is in its 32nd year since the first race in 1994.
All courses are USATF certified and the TIAA Philadelphia Marathon is a Boston qualifier. The marathon has been granted World Athletics Label Road Race status. Aid is provided along the courses with fluid stations, spectator overlooks, and course checkpoints at the 5K, 10K, 15K, 20K, 13.1 mile, 25K, 30K and 40K marks.
Events on the weekend include:
- TIAA Philadelphia Marathon 26.2 miles
- Dietz & Watson Philadelphia Half Marathon 13.1 miles
- Rothman Orthopaedics 8K 4.97 miles
- Philadelphia Kid’s Run short noncompetitive distances
- The Challenges combining multiple distances
Adaptive and wheelchair programs are offered. Push-rim wheelchairs are permitted; handcrank bikes are not allowed. The adaptive program requires athletes to self-propel the full distance and outlines support and guide athlete rules for competitors with physical or vision impairments.
For 2026 the TIAA Philadelphia Marathon and several multi-race challenge entries are sold out while registration remains open for select half marathon, 8K, Patriot Challenge and children events. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
