Philadelphia Marathon Weekend
The Philadelphia Marathon Weekend takes place from November 20 to 22, 2026. This event, now in its 32nd year, features multiple races and attracts over 30,000 participants.
The available races are:
- Philadelphia Marathon (26.2 miles)
- Dietz & Watson Philadelphia Half Marathon (13.1 miles)
- Rothman Orthopaedics 8K (4.97 miles)
- Nemours Children’s Health Philadelphia Kid’s Run, a non-competitive event for children
Participants can also attempt combined distance "Challenges," such as the Patriot, Independence, Liberty Bell, or Freedom Challenge.
The courses pass historic landmarks, urban neighborhoods, and Philadelphia's waterfronts. Specific areas include Fairmount Park, the Schuylkill River, University City, Manayunk, and the historic district, finishing near the Philadelphia Museum of Art. The event notes average November temperatures around 54°F (12°C). All courses are certified by USA Track & Field (USATF), and the marathon is a Boston Marathon qualifier.
An official event app is available for participants and spectators to track results. The event works with official charity partners, and entry is possible through their fundraising programs.
