The 10th annual Phelps Luck 5K and Fun Run supports the local elementary school PTA. The 5K is on a mixed-terrain cross country course, while the Fun Run is a 20-minute lap challenge on grass. All participants get a T-shirt, and families are welcome.

Location and Course

The event takes place at Long Reach High School in Columbia, Maryland. Both events start and finish at the school. The 5K uses the school's cross country course, which is a combination of grass and pavement. The Fun Run takes place on a grass field.

Event Details

This is the 10th annual event. All registered participants receive a T-shirt; the 2026 shirts are noted as being made from a soft, "trebled" fabric. Proceeds from the event support the Phelps Luck Elementary School PTA.

Participation Rules

All children under 18 must register and be accompanied by an adult during the event. Strollers are permitted for the Fun Run but are not allowed on the 5K course. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
