Ribble Runfest
Ribble Runfest is a looped running event on hard surface paths in central Preston. The course starts close to Avenham Park cafe beside the River Ribble, passes through Miller Park, then crosses the river into Upper Farm nature reserve and leisure park before returning to the finish area.
The event takes place on Sunday 16th August 2026 at a start and finish area near Avenham Park, Preston PR1 8JT. There is a six hour time limit for all distances. The ultra distance comprises seven loops and requires the last lap to start within 5 hours 30 minutes. Loop formats for other distances vary as described below.
- 10K - Affiliated £22, Unattached £24
- 1/2 Marathon - Affiliated £26, Unattached £28
- Marathon - Affiliated £32, Unattached £34
- Ultra - Affiliated £36, Unattached £38
All participants must be over 18. Runners aged 18 to 19 may compete up to the marathon distance; runners aged 20 and over have no maximum distance restriction. Organisers will provide sweet and savoury snacks, water, cordial and coke on course and at the finish. All finishers receive a bespoke medal and post run goodies.
