PFW Running - Ribble Runfest
This event takes place on Sunday 23 August 2026 in central Preston, with the start and finish close to Avenham Park. The route follows parkland by the River Ribble, passes through Miller Park and crosses into Upper Farm Nature Reserve and leisure park before reaching a turn point and returning to the finish area.
Distances offered:
- 10k one loop plus a short out and back
- Half marathon three loops of the course
- Marathon six loops of the course
- Ultra seven loops of the course
The course is on hard surface paths. A time limit of six hours applies to all distances. For the ultra, the final lap must be started within five hours 30 minutes. Maximum entries are limited to 100 and entries close on 21 August 2026. All participants must be aged 18 or over; those aged 18 to 19 may enter up to the marathon distance, while those aged 20 or older may enter any distance.
Included with entry is a fully stocked aid station with sweet and savoury snacks plus water, cordial and coke, a bespoke finisher medal, post run chocolate and a fully signed route with marshals. The event is held under a Trail Running Association race permit which has been applied for. Refunds are not permitted; transfers or deferrals are allowed up to one week before the event by contacting the organiser. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
