Perpetua Coast - Daybreak Racing
Perpetua Coast is a weekend trail running event in Yachats, Oregon, staged at The Adobe Resort and set within the Cape Perpetua National Scenic Area. The event features multiple trail distances over coastal terrain that includes rocky shoreline bluffs, sandy beaches, exposed headlands rising to about 800 feet above the Pacific, and temperate rainforest with moss-draped old growth. From high viewpoints at Cape Perpetua the course area offers long coastal views when conditions allow.
Races are organized across two days in early October and include marked courses, chip timing, live results, full service aid stations, medical support, course communications, post race food and beverages, custom finisher awards and professional photography. The registration fee does not include race shirts or hats. A pre-race shake-out run and an optional evening bib pickup are scheduled the day before the races. Event parking is provided at The Adobe; overnight camping on site is not available.
The event acknowledges and recognizes that it takes place on the traditional lands of the native Alsea peoples, with a long cultural history in the area. The event supports local high school athletes through donations to Waldport High School cheer and cross country teams. Presenting and supporting sponsors include KEEN and several regional partners.
