The course uses trails around Bussey Brake Reservoir. An 8-mile section follows the top of the reservoir levee and is described as very flat. Runners should expect holes and large ant piles in places, varied terrain, and sections that are exposed to sun while the back side of the course has shade.
Aid and food are provided on course. There are two aid stations: a fully manned station at start and finish offering hot food, and an on-course aid station near 4 miles with ice, water, electrolytes, and snacks. Race day food lists items such as PB&J, chips, cookies, quesadillas, grilled cheese, pickles, candy, crackers, potatoes, gummies, soda, water, ice, and electrolytes. A finish meal is to be determined and vegan options will be available.
Swag and awards include T-shirt, headbands, a runner light, and a finisher medal for all participants. Top three male and female finishers receive custom plaques. Entry fees are listed within a range of USD 67.65 to 103.19. Discount codes are available for military, first responders, and donors with proof required within 24 hours of signup.
