Pere Malfait Trail Race takes place on November 15, 2025 at Bussey Brake WMA near Bastrop, Louisiana. The event offers three distances:

Course, logistics and amenities
The course follows trails around Bussey Brake Reservoir and an 8-mile levee trail. The terrain is described as very flat with occasional holes and large ant piles. Parts of the course are exposed to sun on the front side and shaded on the back side. Two aid stations are listed: a fully manned start/finish area with hot food, and an on-course aid station near 4 miles offering ice, water, electrolytes, and snacks.
Bussey Brake WMA is located about 5 miles northwest of Bastrop off Bonner Ferry Road (LA Hwy 593). Two parking areas are on the west side of the highway and a self-clearing permit station is at the north parking area. All distances receive a long sleeve shirt, socks, and a portable power bank; all finishers receive a medal and top three male and female finishers receive custom plaques.
