Percy Pud 10k
The Percy Pud is a road race of 10 km held in Sheffield, scheduled for the first Sunday in December; the 2026 event is on 6th December 2026. The event is organised by Steel City Striders and takes place on Loxley Road, Sheffield, S6 6RU.
The race began in 1993 when 600 runners finished. Entries have been limited in recent years to around 2,975, and the event has sold out ahead of time in each of the last 12 years. For the 2026 race entries are closed.
A traditional finisher reward is provided: each finisher receives a Christmas pudding. Food and seasonal music are provided after the race. Under U.K. Athletics rules the pushing of persons in a wheelchair, pushchair, buggy, stroller or similar is not permitted in the race.
Prizes are awarded across overall and age categories. The first male and first female receive a trophy, vouchers, a magnum bottle of Champagne and a large Mathew Walker Christmas Pudding. Male and female places 2nd to 7th receive trophies, vouchers and a bottle of Champagne. Veteran prizes are awarded in multiple age bands from 35–39 up to over 75, with first to third places receiving trophies, vouchers and bottles of Champagne; veteran runners-up receive a trophy and a bottle. A £1000 prize is offered for anyone who breaks a course record. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
