Pennine Bridleway PB18km Trail Run
The Pennine Bridleway PB18km Trail Run is an 18 km spring trail on the Pennine Bridleway between Hayfield village and Rushup Edge and back. The route combines fast trail sections and notable ascents, with a total ascent of 806 metres. The course follows waymarked Pennine Bridleway finger posts and is self navigated, with straightforward route finding.
The event offers a flexible start time window so participants may run solo or with companions and choose their own pace. Ranger Ultras provide on course support and a Safety Team based at the event headquarters. The race is held under a Trail Running Association permit and England Athletics competition rules; participants must be 20 years of age or older on race day.
Included for entrants are navigation notes, on course snacks, fruit and water, and refreshments at headquarters including tea, coffee, soft drinks and pizza. Finishers receive eco medals and trophies are awarded for first male and first female overall. The event is presented as a spring season trail run and is noted as a mini recce opportunity for the Ranger Ultras PB270km.
