Event overview
Pennine Bridleway PB18km Trail Running takes place on Saturday 14th March 2026. The organiser is Rangers Expeditions & Ultras. The race distance is 18 km and the minimum entry age is 18. Course and logistics
The route runs from Hayfield village to Rushup Edge and back. Total ascent on the course is 806 metres. There is an aid station at the half-way turn on Rushup Edge and refreshments at Race HQ. Race HQ is at Hayfield Cricket Pavilion, Hayfield, High Peak, SK22 2LD. Ranger Ultras’ Safety Team will provide support at HQ and on-course. A GPX file and navigation notes are provided to entered runners.
Registration, kit and results
Registration check-in and a compulsory kit check take place at Race HQ on race day. Required kit includes a pack or bum bag, waterproof jacket with hood or head covering, warm mid-layer(s), appropriate trail footwear, a hard-copy Ordnance Survey/Harvey map covering the route, whistle, an emergency bivvy bag (foil blanket not acceptable), sufficient fluids and food, a first aid/blister kit and a mobile phone with a standard UK network SIM. Finishers receive refreshments and a medal; trophies are awarded for first male and first female. Full verified results are emailed to participants and published online within five days of the event.
