The Pemberton Trail races take place entirely on trails in McDowell Mountain Regional Park near Fountain Hills, Arizona. The course runs through desert terrain and includes gently rolling hills. The event offers awards in overall, masters, and super masters categories.

Registration and series

Early bird pricing ends November 30, 2025. Runners who register by December 10, 2025 are guaranteed a Pemberton Trail race shirt. Regular registration closes January 22, 2026 at 11:59 PM Mountain Time.

Pemberton Trail is race number 1 in the McDowell Mountain Cup series. Participation in the series is optional; the series includes the Stoneman 14K Trail Run on February 7 and the Snakebite 20K or 10K on March 1. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
