Event overview
The Peebles Sprint Triathlon is part of the Live Borders Triathlon Series 2026 and takes place at Peebles Swimming Pool on 20 September 2026. It is a sprint-distance triathlon with the following legs:
- Swim: 750 m (pool based, 30 lengths)
- Bike: 20 km
- Run: 5 km
The swim will be run in waves based on submitted estimated swim times. The transition area is located in the car park adjacent to the pool.
Course and local information
The cycling route follows the B7062 outward towards Howford Farm, includes a dead turn, and returns along the same road. The bike course passes Kalzie gardens and Traquair. The run route follows the River Tweed, loops twice around the "Three Bridges" and uses the riverside crossing at Priorsford and Fotheringham bridges. The event is described as the final race of the annual series and had a combined 410 attendees at the previous year’s Sprint, Come & Tri and Junior events.
Entry, fees and logistics
Entry status is listed as open with a closing date of 06 September 2026 23:59. Early price to 05 December 2025 is £38.00; later price to 06 September 2026 is £40.00. A service fee of 4% (minimum 50p) applies to each sign-up. A British Triathlon Race Pass is required for non-home-nation members; race pass costs vary by age bracket. Limited parking is available in the public car park behind the pool, with additional parking at Kings Meadow Car Park on Kings Meadow Road.
