Peebles Sprint Triathlon - Live Borders Triathlon Series 2026
The Peebles Sprint Triathlon takes place at Peebles Swimming Pool on 20 September 2026 as the final event in the Live Borders Triathlon Series. The event is a pool-based sprint triathlon with swim, bike and run legs.
- Swim: 750 m pool based (30 lengths)
- Bike: 20 km
- Run: 5 km
The swim is staged in Peebles Swimming Pool and competitors will be started in waves based on submitted estimated swim times. The transition area is sited in the car park adjacent to the pool. Limited parking is available in the public car park behind the pool; additional parking is at Kings Meadow Car Park on Kings Meadow Road, just past the pool and over the bridge on the right.
The cycling route follows the B7062 outward towards Howford Farm with a dead turn directing riders back the same way; this route passes Kalzie gardens and Traquair. The run follows the River Tweed, includes two laps around the "Three Bridges" and a circular riverside section crossing at Priorsford and Fotheringham bridges. Local points of interest mentioned for the area include Glentress, Go Ape, Dawyck Botanic Gardens and The Cross Kirk.
