Pedal N Plod
Pedal N Plod is a biathlon held in Adams, MA on July 26, 2026 that features two person teams and individual Iron competitors combining running and cycling on separate courses. The event supports Northern Berkshire EMS and includes post race refreshments and a raffle with prizes from local businesses.
The courses are:
- 4.15 mile run with a climb in the middle and a long descent
- 22 mile bike course as two 11 mile loops on Rt 116 and Rt 8
Registration varies by division and date. Student registration is free for grades 6 through 12. An online processing fee applies and no refunds or deferments are offered.
Staging and parking are at the Adams Visitor Center. Race shirts are provided to the first 75 teams and Iron competitors. Awards recognize overall Ironwoman, Ironman, mixed team, female team, and male team placements, with second and third places in each division also acknowledged.
Spectator and participant guidance includes a prohibition on dogs and pets, a recommendation against wearing headphones for safety, and a note that spectators will not be able to cross the finish line into the chute. Wheelchairs and disabled push strollers are welcome and organizers request advance contact to arrange accommodations. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
