Pear Run & Pear Ruck : May 2, 2026
The event is the 20th Annual Pear Run and the inaugural Pear Ruck 10K, held Saturday, May 2, 2026, at Independence Park, 3449 Pearland Parkway, Pearland, Texas. Registration is open. The event is organized by the Pearland Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association (PCPAAA) as a fundraiser for the Pearland Police Department.

Distances offered:
- 5K (USATF certified)
- 10K (USATF certified) and inaugural Pear Ruck 10K
The 5K is an out-and-back route that starts and finishes inside Independence Park. The 10K course also starts and finishes inside Independence Park. All finishers receive a medal. Race t-shirts are available for early registrants. Awards include top male and top female overall, plus top finisher in each age group. PCPAAA has organized the race since 2001 and uses proceeds to support department needs not covered by budget, including equipment for the police bike team, K9 officers, contributions to a mobile command center, and a fallen officer memorial garden.
