Paws for Life
Paws for Life is a community running and walking event held in Rolesville, North Carolina. The course starts and finishes at Sanford Creek Elementary School. Profits from the event benefit Paws for Life Animal Rescue, formerly known as the Franklin County Humane Society, to support the construction of an animal shelter for local pets awaiting adoption.
The event includes two options for participants and their dogs:
- 5K race
- 1 Mile walk for participants and their dogs
In the 5K, awards are presented to the first three male finishers overall and the first three female finishers overall. Single-place awards are given to the top finisher in each of the following age groups for both sexes: 15 and under, 16-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, and 65 and over.
