About the race
The Parcours Champêtre is the fifth edition of a charity running and family event presented by Fondation Armand‑Frappier in the Cité de la Biotech in Laval. The event raises funds to support research in health and to help the next generation of scientists.
It offers two course options:
- 5 km timed
- 1 km family course
Registration is mandatory to access the courses and the event site. The 5 km registration includes access to the 1 km family course. Participants in the 5 km receive a chip bib. All registered participants receive a medal and food options include a Bol Poulet Rouge and other snacks. On site there are inflatables, children’s face painting, an animation by the Musée Armand‑Frappier, a gear drop zone, first aid and parking. Indoor toilets are located about 150 metres from the welcome area and water is available for self-service so participants are encouraged to bring a reusable bottle.
Training and preparation materials are provided for the 5 km run, the 5 km walk and for stretching and strengthening; these programs were developed with Clinique Alter-Action. Families with strollers and dogs are welcome. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
