Sunset 5K Run/Walk
The Sunset 5K is a long-standing component of the Paperfest community festival in Kimberly, Wisconsin. The event reaches its 21st annual edition in 2026 and features a route that highlights local scenery along the Fox River. This event uses the Kimberly trail system, with the start and finish lines located within the Paperfest grounds at Sunset Park.
The course covers a distance of:
- 5 km (3.1 miles)
Participants navigate a route through the Sunset Park community and across the area's trail network. The race takes place rain or shine, and entries are non-refundable. Registration is available for individuals or for families of up to four people, with pricing tiers that increase as the event date approaches.
All participants receive a finisher medal upon completion. Timing is recorded for the overall field as well as within specific age categories ranging from 12 and under to 70 and over. Outside of the run, the festival grounds host various activities including live music, a food truck rally, a craft fair, and other sporting competitions such as volleyball and cornhole.
