Sunset 5K Run/Walk
The Sunset 5K Run/Walk is an annual event held in Kimberly, Wisconsin, as part of the community-focused Paperfest. This year marks the 21st edition of the race, which takes place on a Friday evening. The course is approximately 5 km (3.1 miles) long and follows a scenic route through the Sunset Park community.
Participants start and finish the run within the Paperfest grounds, utilizing the Kimberly trail system along the Fox River. The event is open to everyone, and participants can enter individually or as a family group of up to four people. Timing is recorded for all runners and walkers, with results categorized into several age groups ranging from 12 and under to 70 and older.
The race is held rain or shine at the Sunset Park soccer fields. Facilities and additional attractions at the festival include:
