Event
The Sunset 5K Run/Walk is part of Paperfest in Kimberly, Wisconsin. It is scheduled for Friday, July 17, 2026, and starts and finishes within the Paperfest grounds at Sunset Park soccer fields, 800 W Kimberly Ave, Kimberly, WI 54136. The event is the 21st annual running of the Sunset 5K.
Course and awards
The course is 5K (3.1 miles) and follows a route along the Fox River using the Kimberly trail system. All participants receive a finisher medal. Participant times are recorded overall and by age group.
Registration and rules
Registration opens February 15, 2026. Entries are non-refundable and the event takes place rain or shine. Day-of registration is available but must be completed online. Fee structure is listed as follows:
- Early registration: $20 single, $60 family (up to 4 people)
- After May 1: $25 single, $80 family
- After July 1: $30 single, $100 family
Participants must agree to the Paperfest waiver before participating. The course route is subject to change based on road conditions and safety. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
