Panther Prowl Haunted Color Run : Odessa, TX
The Panther Prowl Haunted Color Run is an untimed Halloween night event held on October 30, 2026, at 1800 E 42nd Street in Odessa, Texas. The main event features color blast zones, haunted scare zones, Halloween-themed scenes, music, and other surprises along a campus-approved route; the final course distance will be based on the approved campus route and is not a certified 5K.
Participants are released in waves to prevent overcrowding, and assigned wave times are communicated before the event. Registration for the events includes an event shirt and a color packet. The event benefits Permian Tennis.
A separate Mini Monster Dash for children ages 10 and under runs on a shorter, child-oriented course. That course emphasizes playful elements such as bubbles, music, and light Halloween fun rather than intentional scares. Mini Monster Dash participants receive candy and a Halloween treat at the finish, and parents or guardians may accompany children at no additional cost.
Costumes are encouraged for both events. Because colored powder is used during the run, organizers recommend wearing a plain white T-shirt over costumes for better color results and protection. The full Haunted Color Run includes intentionally scary moments, darkness, and startling elements; guardians should use their judgment when registering children for the full course.
