Panther Prowl 5K
The Panther Prowl 5K is an annual running event held in McBee, South Carolina. The race is scheduled for Saturday, March 21, 2026, and marks the second edition of this competition. The event is designated as a Pee Dee Grand Prix event, attracting participants to the local area for a community-focused race.
The course begins and ends behind McBee High School, located at 264 E. Pine Ave. Participants follow a 5K route through the surrounding area. Registration is open to all ages, and there are no specific age restrictions for entry. The organizers permit the use of strollers during the race, and participants are allowed to listen to music while running. However, pets are not permitted at the event.

Financial proceeds from the event are directed toward the McBee High Cross Country Team. These funds are used to purchase athletic equipment and gear, including uniforms, footwear, pants, hoodies, and tents for the student-athletes.
Awards are presented to the top three overall male and female finishers, who receive both cash prizes and medals. Additionally, medals are awarded to the first through third-place finishers in various age categories, ranging from 10 and under to 70 and older. Participants who register by the specified deadline in mid-March are guaranteed a race t-shirt, available in both youth and adult sizes.
