Panerathon is a community running and walking event held in Downtown Youngstown on August 23, 2026. The event offers in-person and virtual options and supports a local health cause.

The event benefits the Joanie Abdu Comprehensive Breast Care Center at St. Elizabeth Hospital through the Mercy Health Foundation Mahoning Valley. Over the last 15 years Panerathon has raised more than $4.5 million for that foundation.
Pre-race packet pickup is scheduled for Thursday, August 20 at Covelli Centre, 229 E. Front St., Youngstown. Individuals may pick up their packets during the posted hours, and team captains may pick up packets for entire teams if they opted to do so during registration.
Registration details vary by event. Registration opens April 3, 2026. Fees listed by event in the organizer information include a free entry for the 2 mile category for ages 10 and under, and fees for other categories and virtual options as provided by the organizer. Proceeds and optional additional donations support the Joanie’s Promise Fund to help ensure access to the Joanie Abdu Comprehensive Breast Care Center.
