Pajarito Mountain Run on August 22, 2026 is presented as a 10K trail race at Pajarito Mountain near Los Alamos, New Mexico. Organizers note the course will be slightly short of a full 10K and the event is run by Syllamo Events.
The route starts and finishes near the lodge and includes a 3.25 mile ascent to the summit before a descending singletrack return via the "Aspen For Trouble" trail. The course tops out at over 10,200 feet and accumulates about 1,350 feet of ascent. The opening mile includes rolling singletrack on Lower Aspenola Trail, and the ascent follows Service Road to the summit aid station.
Courses are marked with yellow flagging, arrows and other directional signs at junctions, and there are no on-course cut offs, so hikers are permitted. Organizers perform trail maintenance prior to the event and sweep the course after the race to reduce trash and protect the trail system.
A summit aid station is planned roughly three miles into the route offering water and some sports nutrition gels; participants are asked to bring their own water vessel to minimize waste.
