Jemez Mountain Trail Runs
The Jemez Mountain Trail Runs is an annual trail race event held in May, with the nineteenth edition scheduled for Saturday, May 9, 2026. The event program includes multiple distances over mountain trails and is organized under the High Altitude Athletics Club.
Runners can enter one of the following distances:
- 50 mile trail race
- 50k trail race
- 15 mile trail race
Registration for the 2026 edition opened on January 3, 2026 via UltraSignup. A 2026 runners manual is planned; the 2025 runners manual is available and contains relevant event information. Event updates and community discussion appear on a blog and a Facebook group affiliated with the event.
A portion of event proceeds benefits the Los Alamos High School Cross Country Team and other local organizations. National sponsors named for the event include Rabbit and Tailwind Nutrition, alongside a number of regional sponsors and partners.
