About the race
The Paiute Meadows Trail Run is a trail race held in Susanville, CA and organized by Lassen Land and Trails Trust. The event uses nearly exclusively single-track trails that pass through towering pines, meadows, and a range of terrain that includes climbs and water crossings. Courses offer varied scenery and sightlines across the regional trail network.

- 50K
- 50K Relay
- 30K
- Half Marathon (13.7 miles)
- 4.5 Miler There is also a free 1-mile kids trail race for participants 12 and under and inclusion for Lassen College Special Olympians. For relay teams, Leg 1 follows the 30K course (18.6 miles) and Leg 2 follows the second loop of the 50K (about 13.1 miles).
The race is designated as a cupless event. Aid stations provide water, an electrolyte drink, gels, fruit (bananas, oranges, watermelon), potato chips, pickles, fruit gummies, M&Ms, ginger ale, and cola. Feminine hygiene products are available at aid stations. Hydrapak Speedcups are offered for purchase at packet pickup.
Race packet pickup is organized at the Susanville Historic Train Depot on the day before the race and also available at the race venue on race morning; there is no race day registration. Lassen Land and Trails Trust supports regional conservation and trail stewardship and co-manages local trail systems used by this event.
