Event overview
The Paiute Meadows Trail Run is scheduled for Saturday, May 9, 2026, in Susanville, CA, with the primary venue at Susanville Ranch Park. The event is the 30th annual running organized in partnership with Lassen Land and Trails Trust. Distances offered include:
- 50K
- 50K Relay
- 30K
- Half marathon (13.7 miles)
- 4.5 Miler
- 1-Mile Kids' trail race (free for children 12 and under)
The courses are almost exclusively on single-track trails and pass through pine forests and meadows. The routes include climbs, water crossings, and varied terrain, and they provide scenic views across different landscapes.
Logistics and on-course support
Race packet pickup is at the Susanville Historic Train Depot, 601 Richmond Road, on Friday, May 8, with late registration available only at that packet pickup. Race day packet pickup will be available at Susanville Ranch Park; there is no race day registration other than that pickup option. The event is organized as a cupless race. Aid stations provide water, an electrolyte drink, Hammer gels, fruit (bananas, oranges, watermelon), potato chips, pickles, fruit gummies, M&Ms, ginger ale, cola, and feminine hygiene products. Hydrapak Speedcups will be available for purchase at packet pickup for $5. Aid stations are staffed by community volunteers. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
