Pacifico Ultra
Pacifico Ultra is a trail running event organized by SoCalTrail in the Angeles National Forest near Palmdale, CA. The event offers two distances that follow mountain roads, singletrack and truck trails through high country terrain.
- 50k Ultra: 31.8 miles, 5,317 ft vertical gain, 10 hour limit.
- Half Marathon: 13.1 miles, 2,293 ft climb.
The courses start around 5,000 ft elevation with most miles between about 5,600 and 7,100 ft. Routes include technical singletrack, mountainside truck trails and paved sections, passing pine forests, rocky slopes and panoramic views of the surrounding forest and desert. The 50k includes nine aid stations and designated cutoffs; the Half Marathon includes three aid stations.
Event support features free course photography, a finish festival with tacos and shaded seating, sports massage, shuttle service from off site parking, and professional medical support. Finishers receive locally made finisher medals. The 50k offers a $500 course record bonus and serves as a Sterling Silver Ticket race for the Angeles Crest 100, with top finishers eligible to earn Sterling Silver Tickets and guaranteed entry; recipients are responsible for their entry fee and required trail work hours.
Race site access is at Mill Creek Summit and the Pony Park Day Use Area in the Angeles National Forest. Off site parking and shuttle service are provided on race day. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
