Pacifico Ultra
Pacifico Ultra is a trail running event in the Angeles National Forest near Palmdale, CA. The event offers two distances and a fully supported wilderness experience on Pacifico Mountain Road and the Silver Moccasin Trail through the San Gabriel Mountains.
The courses mix technical singletrack, mountainside truck trails and paved sections, and pass through silent pine forests, treelined ridges and sandy boulder fields with panoramic views toward the Angeles National Forest and the Mojave Desert. Runners begin at roughly 5,000 feet and cover terrain that stays mostly between about 5,600 and 7,100 feet. Race day temperatures may range from the mid 50s to the mid 80s Fahrenheit.
The 50k covers 31.8 miles with about 5,317 feet of elevation gain and includes multiple aid stations and a 10 hour time limit. The half-marathon climbs about 2,293 feet to Pacifico Summit and includes three aid stations. All events are cupless.
Onsite services listed by the organizer include nine expert aid stations for the 50k, free course photography, a finish festival with food options including tacos and vegan choices, shaded seating, sports massage, same day results and professional medical support.
