Paarlberg Hike
The Paarlberg Hike is a guided trail event held at the Spice Route and within Paarl Mountain Reserve as part of the Paarl Adventure Festival running 24–27 September 2026. Hikers follow routes through fynbos and renosterveld, pass ancient granite boulders, and reach viewpoints with views over the valley, dams, vineyards, and surrounding mountains.
Two hike options are offered:
- 10 km
- 17 km
Entry fees include the Paarl Trails permit and trail fee. Listed prices are R250 for the 10 km option and R350 for the 17 km option. Route profiles will be posted soon. The event notes a typical age range of 12 and older.
Additional event information: medals are awarded to all finishers; registration takes place on the morning of the event; no refunds are issued for cancelled entries; unpaid entries are removed after three days. Water stations will be available on the route, and participants are advised to carry personal hydration if desired. Participants are asked not to leave valuables in parked vehicles; valuables may be left at registration. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
