Event details

Oxford Town v Gown 2026 is the second annual inter-club competition organised by OUOC and TVOC. The event takes place on Saturday 31 January 2026. Assembly and finish are at St Anne's College, with the start in University Parks. The course is approximately 5-6 km optimal route. The organisers will place several artificial barriers on the course area, including one new barrier type intended to affect route planning.

Entry, fees and eligibility

Entry fees are listed as Senior: £6.00/£7.00 and Junior: £5.00. Juniors are defined as under 21 on 31 December. Due to safeguarding restrictions on university events, the event is for ages 18 and over; any under 18s must be accompanied at all times on and off course. When entering, participants choose a team: Town, Gown or N/A. Participants who are not members of TVOC or OUOC, do not live in Oxfordshire, or were not specifically invited are asked to select N/A. Participants who are not members of British Orienteering are not covered by that organisation’s public liability insurance and take part at their own risk; they would not be covered for incidents such as injury to a member of the public or property damage. Entries close on 30 January 2026. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
