The Owego Strawberry Festival - Rock & Run 5K takes place on Thursday, June 18, 2026, at Hickories Park, 359 Hickories Park Rd, Owego, NY 13827. The event is part of the 44th Owego Strawberry Festival and includes a 5K Run/Walk and a Kid's Fun Run for ages 12 and under.

Race details

All registered 5K participants will receive the annual 2026 Strawberry Festival run medal. Kid’s Fun Run entrants receive a numbered bib and a medal; runners in the Kid’s Fun Run must register and have a parent sign for them to enter. Bib pick up and Kid’s Run registration are located at the bandstand area on race day. The listed registration fee for the 5K is $38.10 (includes a $3.10 fee); the fee increases after June 11, 2026. Discounted event T-shirts are offered to those who register online and T-shirts are also available for sale at the race. Organizers note heavy parking and pedestrian activity near the bandstand; orange cones and volunteers will mark the course and assist with safety, and drivers are asked to enter the park slowly. After the 5K there will be live music, vendors, ice cream and food trucks at the Hickories bandstand. Additional Strawberry Festival activities occur in the Village of Owego on June 19 and June 20, including music, vendors, food, a parade and fireworks.
