OVFC First Responder 5K - Odenton, Maryland
The inaugural OVFC First Responder 5K takes place on Sunday, November 15, 2026, at 1425 Annapolis Rd in Odenton. The event raises funds for the local volunteer fire company and routes participants through historic Odenton, starting and gathering at the volunteer fire station.
Two community fundraisers support the event the weekend before: an all day benefit at Odenton Hideaway on Friday, November 13, and an all day benefit at Lime & Salt Taqueria on Saturday, November 14. On race day, breakfast for participants is provided by Perry's Restaurant at the firehouse. A post event gathering will be held at Crooked Crab Brewing where a limited release 5K beer will be available.
Participants receive breakfast, a custom race bib, a T-shirt, and a medal with very limited supply. The event is described as community focused and is designed for runners and walkers of all experience levels, offering an opportunity to be active while supporting local first responders and the Odenton community.
