Outrun Hunger is an annual charity running event held in Commerce Township on Saturday, November 14, 2026. The event features two distances and directs its proceeds to local food pantries serving the Lakes Region of Southeast Michigan.

The event is organized by Outrun Hunger, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. According to event information, 100% of donations and registrations, excluding online transaction fees, are given to the partnering food pantries Hospitality House Food Pantry of Commerce and Open Door Outreach Center of Waterford. Since its founding the organization reports total fundraising of $308,163 and meals provided to 11,922 families. Results from the 2025 event include $36,128 raised and 722 families fed during the holiday season.

Race operations and participant recognition include professional chip timing by the Michigan Running Foundation, age-group awards and overall awards with gift card prizes, team challenges for 5K and 1 Mile, and participant giveaways. All participants receive a 16th year anniversary finisher medal after the race. Course surface combines crushed asphalt and pavement; only running strollers with extra large wheels have been found successful on the trail. Pets are not permitted. Race registration fees are non-refundable; entries may be transferred to another individual at no cost.
