Outrun Hunger is a charity running and walking event offering the following distances:

• 1 Mile

The event takes place at Commerce Township Hall, 2009 Township Drive, Commerce Township, Michigan. Proceeds support local food pantries Hospitality House Food Pantry of Commerce and Open Door Outreach Center of Waterford. The organizers state that 100% of donations and registration fees, excluding online transaction fees, are gifted to those partnering pantries. Recent results show $36,128 raised in 2025, which provided holiday meals to 722 families. Since the event began, the organization reports having raised $308,163 and feeding 11,922 families in the community.

The course runs on a mix of crushed asphalt and pavement and winds through woodlands, wetlands and natural habitats. The trail is narrow in places and marked with directional arrows, mile markers and small orange flags. Water is provided near mile 2. The race is professionally chip timed by the Michigan Running Foundation. Participants receive a finisher medal while supplies last and awards are given for overall, masters and age group winners, plus team challenges.
