Outback in the Ozarks 205 Mile Relay
Outback in the Ozarks is an overnight team endurance relay held in Eureka Springs, Arkansas, on October 9–10, 2026. The event base address is 1303 Co Rd 204, Eureka Springs. The full relay covers 205 miles divided into 36 legs and finishes at Prairie Grove Battlefield State Park. The route passes through the Ozark National Forest and five state parks.
Distances and team formats:
- 205 Miles : full relay, 36 legs.
- 65 Miles : 4–6 runners, starts at Lake Fort Smith and finishes at Prairie Grove.
Team options for the 205 mile distance include:
- Ultra Team for 4–6 runners, classified as male, female, or mixed.
- Standard Team for 7–12 runners, classified and placed in divisions.
- Half Team for 6 runners; pairing with another six-person team is possible.
- Individual Connect for solo runners who will be matched into a 12-person team.
Registration opens February 1, 2026 and closes July 6, 2026. Published registration fees vary by entry type and include a volunteer fee; examples listed by the organizer include $1,949 for a standard team, $1,249 for some team options, $1,099 for the 65 mile relay, and $219 for an individual Connect entry.
The team captain registers first and creates the team. Team members may join by registering into an existing group or by being added through the team captain's RunSignup group management. Team names should be family friendly. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
