Our Hospital Walk/Run
The 20th Annual Our Hospital Walk/Run takes place on Sunday, September 27. The event raises funds to help North Bay Regional Health Centre meet its highest medical equipment priorities and keep care available close to home.
Participants can choose from the following distances:
- Family Mile - a lap around the hospital
- 5KM
- 10KM
Registration fees vary by date and age. Discounted fees apply before July 2; listed examples include: until July 1, 2026 adult $20, teen (13-17) $15, youth (under 12) free; July 2 to September 26 adult $40, teen $20, youth free; race day adult $50, teen $30, youth free.
The event program includes opening ceremonies, a warm-up, races along mapped routes for hospital participants, a chili lunch, and award ceremonies. A map is provided for the 5KM and 10KM routes; the Family Mile is a lap around the hospital.
Awards and fundraising incentives are part of the event. Prizes include an Early Bird prize pack, team pizza parties for top fundraising teams, a Spirit Award, finishing medals for participants, and placement medals for 1st through 3rd in men, women and non-binary categories. For every $150 raised, participants receive a $25 gift card issued after the fundraising period ends on Sunday, September 28. Dogs are not permitted at the event.
