Otto's Ottawa Canada Day Road Races
This event takes place on July 1st to celebrate Canada Day. It features multiple race distances: a 10 km, a 5 km, a 1 km kids run, and a 100 m tot trot.
The event is held at Earl of March High School. The atmosphere is festive with activities for children, such as face painting and inflatables. The charity partner for this year's edition is The Royal, a mental health care and research hospital.
All participants registered for the 10 km, 5 km, and kids 1 km races receive a finisher medal, unless they opt for the Green Bib. Registration also includes a personalized race bib, professional chip timing, post-race snacks and beverages, and free downloadable race photos.
Technical shirts and kids' cotton race shirts are available as optional add-ons. Cash prizes are awarded to the top three places for women, men, and non-binary athletes in the 5 km and 10 km races.
A Green Bib option allows participants to forgo a medal; a portion of the registration fee is then donated to the charity partner. Online registration closes on June 22nd. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
