Otto's Ottawa Canada Day Road Races
The event takes place on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, at Earl Of March Secondary School in Kanata. The morning includes family activities such as face painting and inflatables for children, plus post-race snacks and recovery provisions.
Multiple distances are offered:
- 10 km
- 5 km
- 1 km (Kids 1K)
- 100 m Tot Trot
Registration for the 10K, 5K and Kids 1K includes a finisher medal unless the Green Bib option is chosen, a personalized race bib, professional chip timing, post-race snacks and beverages, and free downloadable race photos. The Green Bib removes the medal and directs a portion of the registration fee to the event charity partner, The Royal.
The event’s charity partner, The Royal, is a research hospital that combines clinical care, science and technology to advance understanding and treatment of brain and mental health conditions, including mood disorders, stress and trauma, suicide prevention, military mental health and workplace mental health. Post-race recovery nutrition will be provided by the Kanata Food Cupboard, which will accept non-perishable food donations on-site.
Optional commemorative items are available, including a technical race shirt, a kids cotton race shirt and an iTab ribbon hanger. Monetary prizes are listed for top three finishers in the 5K and 10K categories. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
