Course, checkpoints and requirements
The trail route visits high points around Otley including Otley Chevin, Lindley Moor, Rombalds Moor and Beamsley Beacon. Total climb is listed as approximately 2,900 / 3,900 / 4,200 / 6,500 feet for the 13 / 20 / 34 / 50 mile courses respectively. Checkpoints are located on the route at Baildon Moor, Ilkley Moor, Skipton (50 mile only, drop bag point), Langbar, Timble and Leathley Lane; checkpoints provide basic food and drink. All ultramarathon entrants receive a tracker; shorter-distance runners may hire a tracker. A common kit list applies to all distances and random kit checks may be carried out on course.
