Otey's to Otey's Run - Finish the Fight Against GI Cancer
This event is organized by the Reed GI Cancer Research Foundation Junior Board and presented by Cox Pools. It takes place in Birmingham, Alabama on August 8, 2026, and features a course of about 5.47 miles that starts at Otey's in Homewood (924 Oxmoor Road, 35209) and finishes at Otey's in Crestline Village (224 Country Club Park, 35213). The route travels through Homewood and Mountain Brook neighborhoods.
Entry options include a live chip timed run, a two person relay covering the same distance, and a Sleep-In registration option. All registrations carry a fee of $40. Packet pick up is scheduled for Friday, August 7 at The Trak Shak in Homewood.
An afterparty will be held in the green space near Otey's Crestline with awards and refreshments. Awards will be presented to the Top Overall Male and Female and to the Top Overall Male and Female in the following age groups: 9 and under, 10-19, 20-29, 30-30, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 and over.
