Osprey Ambler is a trail running event at Osprey Park in Sultan, WA on October 17, 2026. The event offers multiple formats so participants can choose a timed effort or complete a marathon distance.
Available formats:
- Marathon: complete the specific number of laps to record a marathon time.
- 6-hour timed event: run as many laps as possible in six hours.
- 3-hour timed event: run as many laps as possible in three hours.
The course is a roughly 1.06 mile loop on smooth, dirt single-track with minimal elevation change. The loop starts at the park shelter, passes the corner of the play fields, then follows trails through the woods around the north and west sides of Osprey Park. Sections run along the bank of the Sultan River where participants might see salmon returning to spawn. The route returns through the woods to the aid station and the finish area at the shelter.
The course is subject to modifications depending on conditions preceding the start. The event was originated by Wander Bigger Running, LLC and is being brought back by the Sky Valley Trail Runners Association, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. All event proceeds will go to improving and maintaining trail networks in the Skykomish River Valley and/or to Snohomish County Volunteer Search and Rescue, Inc.
