Osprey Ambler
Osprey Ambler is a timed loop trail event held at Osprey Park in Sultan, WA. Participants run as many laps as they choose within either a 3 hour or a 6 hour time window. The loop is approximately 1.06 mi with minimal elevation change and may be modified depending on trail conditions before the event.
The course begins at the park shelter, passes the corner of the play fields, then follows smooth dirt single track through woods around the north and west sides of Osprey Park. Parts of the trail run along the bank of the Sultan River, where runners may see salmon returning to spawn, before returning through the woods to the aid station and finish area at the shelter.
The event was originated by Wander Bigger Running, LLC and is organized by the Sky Valley Trail Runners Association, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Event proceeds will go to improving and maintaining trail networks in the Skykomish River Valley and/or to Snohomish County Volunteer Search and Rescue, Inc.
