OS Bridge Run 8k
The OS Bridge Run 8k is scheduled for 19 September 2026 in Ocean Springs, Mississippi, at 499 Front Beach Drive. The event features multiple race distances and uses a USATF certified course (MS22002MS). The course starts at Fort Maurepas, runs along the front beach, goes up the bridge, and returns.
Distances included:
- 8K run and 8K racewalk
- 0.5 mile kids race
Registration details are provided with different fees by category. Entry fees listed include twenty two dollars for standard adult entries and twenty dollars for GCRC members, with a fifteen dollar fee for children twelve and under. A late registration fee of twenty five dollars applies the morning of the event. Shirts are guaranteed for participants who preregister. Registration opens on June 16, 2026 and closes on September 18, 2026.
The racewalking category requires adherence to USATF race walking guidelines. Race walking is defined as follows: "Race walking requires the competitor to maintain contact with the ground at all times and requires the leading leg to be straightened as the foot makes contact with the ground.
