About the race
The Ørsted Great Grimsby 10k and Family Fun Run is a town-centre event held in Great Grimsby on 6 June 2027. The 10k starts at Great Grimsby Town Hall and finishes in the Victorian Peoples Park.
Distances
- 10K (flat, wide tarmac roads; last 100 m on grass)
- Family Fun Run approximately 1 km on park paths, suitable for pushchairs and wheelchairs
The 10k route is described as flat and fast, running on main roads through town and along Peaks Parkway, with music, bands, cheer stations and three water stations on course. There are pacers, a bespoke 10k medal included with entry, optional event t-shirts, and free baggage storage where available.
The Family Fun Run takes place in the Victorian Peoples Park, follows paved paths with about 100 m on grass at the finish, and provides a finisher medal and a cake or sweets for participants. The Fun Run is open to all ages; the minimum age for the 10k follows Run Britain rules at 15.
Safety and logistics include a staffed first aid post at the finish plus one on course, more than 100 volunteer marshals at junctions, cycle marshals, a lead car and cyclists, and managed road closures.
