Operation Delta Dog - 5K Run to Rescue

Operation Delta Dog - 5K Run to Rescue is a five kilometre event on September 20, 2026, held at Mine Falls in Nashua, New Hampshire. The event supports Operation Delta Dog, an organization that rescues dogs and trains them to serve as service dogs for veterans at no cost to veterans.

Registration opens April 29, 2026. Closing dates vary by category: the general 5K registration closes September 13, 2026, while the Veteran and Youth categories close September 19, 2026. Fee levels include a pre-registration rate of $35 on or before August 31 and an increased rate of $45 beginning September 1. Veteran registrants and veterans running with one dog have a $25 rate. Participants aged 15 and under have a $25 flat rate.

All race categories allow each runner to bring one dog. Registrants running with a dog receive a finish line goodie bag for the dog. Prizes related to dogs include Fastest Team for human and dog and Best Matching Outfits for human and dog.

Team competition requires at least three people. Prizes will be awarded for the largest team and for the fastest team; teams must include at least one female to qualify for team prizes. The first 200 registrants by August 16 receive a commemorative event t-shirt. Awards include top overall male and female, age group medals for top three finishers, team awards, veteran awards, fastest dog and matching outfit awards. The event will be held rain or shine.
