Event Details

The Operation Delta Dog - 5K Run to Rescue takes place on September 20, 2026, in Mine Falls, Nashua, NH. The event supports Operation Delta Dog, a program that rescues dogs and trains them to be service dogs for veterans at no cost to the veterans.

Courses and Registration

The event offers these race categories:

  • 5K
  • Veteran Category
  • Youth Registration

All categories allow participants to bring one dog. Registrants who bring a dog will receive a finish line goodie bag for their pet. Participants must indicate during registration if they are running with a dog.

Pricing

Standard pre-registration is $35. The fee increases to $45 starting September 1. A flat rate of $25 applies for veterans, veterans running with a dog, and participants aged 15 and under. Early packet pickup and same-day registration open on race day.

Awards and Teams

Awards are given for:

  • Top overall male and female finishers.
  • Top three male and female finishers in multiple age categories.
  • Top three overall male and female veteran finishers.
  • Largest team and fastest team (teams require at least three people and at least one female member).
  • Fastest dog/human team and best matching human/dog outfits.

The first 200 registrants by August 16th receive a commemorative t-shirt.

Post-Race and Logistics

Post-race activities include light refreshments and an award ceremony. The event is held rain or shine. One hundred percent of the proceeds are allocated to Operation Delta Dog. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
