O'Niantic 5K
The O'Niantic 5K is a St. Paddy's themed 5-kilometer road race held on March 14, 2026, in Niantic, Connecticut. The course is described as fast and flat and starts and finishes on Methodist Street, passing by the off-season cottages in the Pine Grove community.
Event registration includes a custom St. Paddy's inspired reversible knit beanie. Participants aged 21 and over with ID are eligible for an ice cold craft beer after the race. All participants are offered fresh food to refuel, including Irish inspired donuts from Flanders Donuts & Bake Shop.
The event is part of a series of St. Paddy's themed O'races with challenge options. The Lucky Challenge involves completing four O'races in a specified sequence to earn a large commemorative medal; virtual and in-person combinations are allowed. The Li'l Lucky option awards a finisher medal to participants who complete any two of the four races. A Virtual 5K option is listed for those not attending in person.
HMF FitKids runs are offered for children ages 2-11 in distances of 1/4 mile, 1/2 mile and one mile.
