About the race
One Ocean Run Mission: Dugong is an event at SeaWorld Yas Island in Abu Dhabi on 11 October 2026. The course passes through multiple SeaWorld realms, allowing participants to run past displays such as sea otters at Arctic, sea lions at Rocky Point, the Micro-Ocean area, divers in Endless Ocean and dolphins in Tropical Ocean.
The event offers three distance options and lap formats:
- 10 km : 4 laps
- 5 km : 2 laps
- 2.5 km : 1 lap
The run supports conservation work: proceeds help fund the Impact Fund by Miral, which supports a seagrass research program led by the Yas SeaWorld Research & Rescue Center. The research program focuses on protecting UAE seagrass meadows that provide food and habitat for dugongs and support marine biodiversity and coastal resilience.
Registration is open in defined periods with tiered entry fees. Registrants may request a refund or category change up to seven days before the event subject to a 30 dirham administration fee; no refunds or changes are permitted within seven days of the event or once the event is closed.
