On the Hill 5K
On the Hill 5K is a combined in-person and virtual walk and run held at Saint Meinrad Archabbey in Saint Meinrad, Indiana on September 19, 2026. The main distance is 3.1 miles.
Registration is open. Fees are $20 per person before September 1 and $25 after; children 17 and under are $10 before September 1 and $15 after. All participants who pre-register will receive a free t-shirt.
The start and finish are located at the former Archabbey Gift Shop building along Indiana State Road 545. Parking is available in the Abbey Caskets and former Gift Shop parking lots.
The event will use chip timing through a partnership with To the Finish, LLC to record results. Prizes will be awarded to the top male and female in each age range: under 12, 12-17, 18-30, 31-50, and 50 plus. Additional attendance prizes will be given; winners must be present to receive those prizes.
Participants are invited to join the Saint Meinrad monks for Mass in the Archabbey Church before the race; running clothes are welcome for Mass. Proceeds from the event will support Saint Meinrad’s Wellness Program, which provides personal training, weight management, wellness coaching, presentations, and other wellness activities for monks, students, and co-workers.
