On The Edge Middle Distance Triathlon : Park Farm, Compton Verney
On The Edge Middle Distance Triathlon takes place at Park Farm, Compton Verney in Warwickshire on Sunday 19 July 2026. The event uses the Capability Brown designed lake for the swim and starts and finishes at the Park Farm venue.
The event format comprises three legs and specific course characteristics:
- 1900 m swim in the lake, entered in pairs with a trickle start, two laps.
- 90 km bike through Warwickshire countryside, including climbs and descents on the Edge Hill escarpment.
- 21.1 km run on tracks and trails around Park Farm and the local hamlet.
The bike route is mostly on minor roads with generally good surfaces and is suitable for both time trial and road bikes. Total bike elevation is listed at approximately 888 m; the run has around 238 m of elevation and is mostly off road on grass and firm tracks, so trail or road shoes are both appropriate depending on conditions.
Aid stations are provided on the bike and run courses offering items such as water, sports drink, gels, bananas, and snacks; cola and water will be available on the run. British Triathlon membership, either full or one day, is required to compete. The venue car park entrance is off the Fosse Way B4455 towards Combrook.
