About the race
The Omaha Half Marathon is held at Rahui Te Kiri Reserve in Omaha with multiple race distances on Sunday, 29 November 2026. The event uses the peninsula around Omaha and Point Wells and includes a mix of dune paths, a beach section, boardwalk, roads with wide grass medians, and a gravel cycle trail.

Participants must wear a valid race number with an attached timing tag on the front of their shirt. Aid stations are located approximately every 3–5 km; the first table serves water and the second serves electrolyte or sport drink. A self-service Gear Drop operates from numbered aisles; a Key Drop container is available and all baggage is left at owners' risk. Portable toilets are located near the reserve entrance and the on-site car park; additional toilets are noted on individual race pages.
All officially registered participants receive a finisher medal and will be given a banana or snack bar plus access to water and electrolyte tents after the finish. Results update in real time via the QR code on race numbers. There is an awards ceremony and random spot prize draws with eligibility requiring in-person presence and registration on the detection mats.
