The event is based at Metro Park, Millwater, near the Millwater Parkway and Vivian Road area. The main venue occupies part of the park’s large flat playing fields and uses nearby paths and the Te Ara Tahuna Walkway.

The half marathon is a single loop described as flat and fast and includes estuary views from the Te Ara Tahuna Walkway and a section that runs through downtown Orewa. The 10k follows the Te Ara Tahuna Walkway with a timed “Race Track” section and a detour around Maygrove Lake. The 5k largely follows the Millwater Parkrun route and crosses a footbridge to the walkway. The kids course stays inside Metro Park on wide paths.
On course support includes aid stations approximately every 3 to 5 km, with water and electrolyte options, and marshals at turns and intersections. Event facilities at the venue include public toilets, portaloos, changing rooms, a gear drop area with numbered aisles and a separate key drop, and real time race results accessible via the QR code on race numbers.
All registered participants receive a finisher medal and a post finish snack with water and electrolyte options nearby. An awards ceremony and spot prize draw are held after the races; spot prize eligibility requires presence and use of the registration mats.
