Harcourts Cooper & Co Hibiscus Half Marathon : Event summary
The event is based at Metro Park, Millwater (228 Millwater Parkway, Silverdale) and is scheduled for Sunday, 18 October 2026, with a rain date of Sunday, 25 October 2026. The race weekend includes number collection, a gear drop area, public toilets and portaloos, and an awards ceremony with spot prize draws.

Course features include extensive use of the Te Ara Tahuna Walkway with estuary views, a downtown Orewa section, and a timed "Race Track" segment on the 10k. The kids' course stays entirely within Metro Park. Aid stations are spaced approximately every 3–5 km with water at the first table and electrolyte drink at the second. Directional arrows and marshals mark turns and intersections. A compulsory safety briefing takes place five minutes before each race start.
Participants must wear an issued race number with timing tag visible. Gear Drop is self-service and uncovered; valuables should not be left. Results update in real time and can be accessed via the QR code on the race number. The finish area provides a finisher medal to all registered participants and a small refuelling item plus nearby water and electrolyte tents.
