Oldham County Sprint Triathlon : August 22, 2026

Oldham County Parks and Recreation will host the 23rd annual, USAT sanctioned Sprint Triathlon at Wendell Moore Park in La Grange, KY on August 22, 2026. The venue address is 1551 Hwy 393, La Grange, KY 40031. Registration opens January 30, 2026. The event limits entries to 200 participants and the individual entry fee is $75. Non-USAT members must pay an additional fee for one-day insurance. The registration deadline is August 12 at 2:00 p.m.

Race format and entry

400 m swim - time start every 15 seconds, in a 25 m pool
10 miles bike - on Oldham County roads (non closed), police at major intersections, hilly course
2 miles run - on park grounds, asphalt trail with a few grass sections

All triathletes receive a finish medal. An awards ceremony follows the race with free pizza. Awards will be given to Overall Female, Overall Male, and the top two finishers in various age groups. Each triathlete receives a ticket for a chance to win one of several door prizes during the awards ceremony. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
