Oldham County Sprint Triathlon
Oldham County Parks and Recreation will host the 23rd annual USAT sanctioned sprint triathlon at Wendell Moore Park in La Grange, Kentucky on August 29, 2026. The event limits entries to 200 participants and requires athletes to be 16 and older.
Race legs include:
- Swim 400 meters in a 25 meter pool with time starts every 15 seconds.
- Bike 10 miles on non closed roads with police at major intersections, hilly course.
- Run 2 miles on park grounds on an asphalt trail with a few grass sections.
All triathletes receive a finish medal. An awards ceremony follows the race; awards are presented to Overall Female, Overall Male, and the top two finishers in multiple age groups. Participants receive a ticket for a chance to win door prizes during the awards ceremony. Pizza will be provided at the awards.
The individual entry fee is $75. Non USAT members must add an additional fee per participant to cover one day insurance. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
