Old West End Stampede 2026

The Old West End Stampede takes place in Toledo, Ohio, as part of the local Old West End Festival. Participants run through moving history, following the official parade route before the event begins. The course leads runners down the historic streets of the Old West End, where spectators gather for the upcoming parade.

The event offers two options for participants:

  • 5K Run
  • Virtual OWE Stampede (T-Shirt Only)

The 5K Run is a timed race. Each participant receives a bib and an ankle chip, which must be returned after crossing the finish line. To support runners during the event, water stops are positioned along the course. Participants are encouraged to wear themed clothing or decorative flair to match the atmosphere of the King Wamba Parade.

Awards are presented to the top finishers in several categories, including overall winners and the top three finishers in age groups for men, women, masters, and youth under 18. Prizes include items such as Toledo Symphony season passes and gift cards. Following the race, the festival continues with the start of the King Wamba Parade and further neighborhood celebrations. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
