Old County Tops Fell Race
The Old County Tops Fell Race is a challenging 37-mile event held annually in May, organized by the Achille Ratti Climbing Club. Participants navigate a route that includes approximately 10,000 feet of ascent, starting and ending in Great Langdale. The race traverses the peaks of Helvellyn, Scafell Pike, and Coniston.
Established in 1988, following a trial run in 1987, the race has become a notable event in the fell running calendar. After completing the course, competitors are provided with food and refreshments. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
Always double-check with the organizer's website – things can change, and we might have sprinted past a few details!
