Oil Creek 100 Trail Runs
The Oil Creek 100 Trail Runs take place in Titusville, Pennsylvania, centered around the historic 1860s oil boom era. The event utilizes the rugged single-track Gerard Hiking Trail within the Oil Creek State Park. The course is heavily marked with over 2,000 reflective flags, signage, and orange cones to guide participants through the terrain. Race headquarters are located at Titusville Middle School, which serves as the start and finish line, as well as an aid station.
Participants can choose from four different distances:
- 100 Miles with 17,627 feet of elevation gain and a 32-hour time limit.
- 100K featuring 11,026 feet of elevation gain and a 31-hour time limit.
- 50K involving 5,459 feet of elevation gain and a 17-hour time limit.
- 25K with a 7-hour time limit.
Finishers of the 100-mile, 100K, and 50K distances receive belt buckles as awards. The event has strict entry policies, including a minimum age of 16 for all runners and pacers. Photo identification is required at both packet pickup and race morning check-in. The facility at the middle school provides post-race showers for all participants included in the entry fee.
