Runners and walkers start together and follow a mainly flat out-and-back course through downtown Oil City, lining up by the Christmas Tree in Town Square. A free kids mini race is held by the Christmas Tree; all children in that race receive a prize. The event includes appearances by Santa and the Grinch, gift basket and prize giveaways, and some surprise costumes. Registration fee for the listed events is $30.
