Ohio River Sternwheel Festival 5K Run and Walk
The Ohio River Sternwheel Festival 5K Run and Walk takes place at East Muskingum Park Gazebo on Front Street in Marietta, Ohio. The event offers a 5K distance that passes over and under bridges, through tunnels, around downtown Marietta, and finishes along the paved river trail in Muskingum Park.
Both a timed 5K run division and a 5K walk division are listed. The standard registration fee for the 5K run and the 5K walk is $25; race day registration is also $25. Entries received by April 30 are guaranteed a t-shirt. The event is capped at 500 participants.
Awards are issued to the first three males and first three females overall, the top three male walkers and top three female walkers, and the top three males and females in each age group for Run and Walk divisions: 12 and under, 13 to 19, 20 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, 60 to 69, and 70 and over. Awards are distributed as results are tallied rather than at a formal awards ceremony.
Kids' Races for age 11 and under are free and do not require pre-registration; registration for those races is available on race day. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
