Ohio Northern Indoor Marathon and Half Marathon
The event is an indoor marathon and half marathon held at the ONU Sports Center on the campus of Ohio Northern University in Ada, Ohio. Proceeds benefit the ONU cross country and track & field teams.
Distances
- Marathon: 211 laps on a 200 meter indoor track.
- Half marathon: 105.5 laps on a 200 meter indoor track.
Registration is first-come, first-served with a stated deadline of December 31, 2025 or until the race is filled. The field is limited to a maximum of 40 runners, though organizers may adjust that limit. The race fee is $100 and includes a t-shirt and a finisher's medal.
There is no qualifying standard to enter. Timing uses a FinishLynx system with lap splits provided, but timing will end after six hours because of facility restrictions. Indoor marathon times cannot be used to qualify for the Boston Marathon. Awards are given to the first male and first female finisher in each distance; there are no age-group awards.
Race operations note that runners change directions at regular intervals, using a cone at the start/finish and moving to outside lanes until all runners have switched. The marathon course is USATF certified OH10061PR; runners may cover extra distance when passing or changing lanes. Two aid stations are placed on the track, water and sports drink are provided, restrooms are available outside the field house, music will be played, and headsets, strollers and pets are not allowed on the track.
